John and Diane

Had the pleasure of shooting John and Diane's wedding Saturday. The weather outside was AWFUL, dark, rainy, couldn't have asked for worse. But the wedding went on, and I made the best I could with what I had to work with. These are just a few of the pictures, more will be added. All shot with the Canon 1ds MK II.

I was trying to create a composite image for this idea, but the pics came up short. I didn't want to lose all hope on it, so I decided to draw it.

Lighting up the ghetto

4 months later... It was quite some time since I posted anything new. I got this idea from seeing all the negative attention to lower cost housing (ghetto). Instead of making the picture all grunge and worse than it seems, I wanted to bring out the good. Various colours and lines really brightened the whole picture up.

Scubaman

I always wanted to take amazing underwater pictures, but without an expensive underwater housing, it wasn't possible. That's how the scubaman image was created. I brainstormed ideas, and came up with a really cool composition. I spent hours picking out all the exact images needed (thanks to iStock.com ) Once I had the images, it was just a lot of photoshop and patience. Luckily the final image (consisting of over 12 different pictures) came out better than I was imagining.

In Love

com·pos·ite : A photograph or other image that is created by a combination of multiple images on a single sheet. The idea behind this one was, two people in love. I had the idea in my head, but had a hard time finding appropriate images. I wanted a building with vines all over it, which I couldn't find. So I had to use 2 images and photoshop the vines on. The end result turned out quite good. I wanted the people to be the main focus, thus adding the purple dust around them and butterflies.
